So the summer is about over, everyone is making there way back to there summer jobs over sea's or back to there winter jobs here in NZ. Simon and i have had a to say the least a pretty EPIC summer with Medium flow Huka falls runs and one and a half runs on Aratiatia. So what better way to finish the summer off than paddling Tree Trunk Gorge!
Max Siech, Simon Davidson and myself did the deed with Si and myself going first and Max shooting photos. Then it was Max and myself turn to fire it up again with no problems! Max and me have only been paddling twice together but it seems to be only on BIG shit! I'm a little afraid of what we might be doing next!
I was born in Turangi and this piece of water is very special to me, i have wanted to do this ever since i started kayaking and to do it today was an amazing experience!
The beauty of this gorge is breath taking and is such a special place to be.
But ill let you be the Judge, Enjoy.
